Zen Kitten is a departure from the done-to-death feel that many WordPress themes follow: the cluttered widgets, multiple sidebars, and bunched up text you’ve seen elsewhere have been dumped in the litter tray.

Remix your homepage
Zen Kitten’s homepage features a customisable header that’s plain text by default. You can swap the text for your own logo or image; it’s just three clicks using our automated image uploader in the theme’s options.
The homepage shows posts in a striking featured image format; just upload your chosen pic using the new WordPress featured image uploader in the post editor. You don’t even need to crop or resize it; Zen Kitten’s pretty nifty with a pair of scissors, so it’ll do that for you.
The homepage is yours to play with as you please: you can tell Zen Kitten to list posts from chosen categories with an optional header above each one, or just have it display your latest posts. It’s pretty flexible.
Let your content shine
The post and page templates automatically set your titles in a striking typeface called Titillium Title, and use Google’s Droid Sans for your body copy, making your content both easy to read and setting it apart from the average blog. The comments area is easy on the eye, with support for Gravatars.

Customise your footer
The footer section is widgetised, so you can add your own search boxes, links to static pages, adverts, and other tasty treats. We suggest you keep it fairly clean, but it’s yours to do with as you please. There are four customisable widget areas in total: two for the homepage footer (left and right) and two for the subpage footer.
